Engagement
Sitting
All of our packages include an engagement sitting and they often bring
great joy to those clients who insist they never had a good photograph
taken before! We encourage our couples to go on location for this session,
such as a beach or favorite park. A series of images is taken that vary
from individual close-ups to loosely structured naturalistic poses. This
time spent with your wedding photographer is invaluable because it allows
you develop a rapport and discuss your wedding long before the actual
day. It also gives you and your fiance the opportunity to view and discuss
images taken by one of your own photographers.
Black
& White Prints for Publications.
We will be happy to supply you with a B&W print from both your Engagement
and Wedding for announcements in the newspaper.
Pre-Wedding
Conference
This appointment is held several weeks to a month before your wedding.
Its purpose is to give you and your photographer another opportunity to
speak at length about your wedding day. We like to discuss scheduling,
names of family and bridal party members, and the many details that make
a wedding day. Any last minute questions or special requests you might
have will be discussed in detail with you. Our familiarity with the Bride
and Groom before the wedding invariably results in warmer, more intimate
photographs.
A
Team of Professionals at Your Wedding
At the core of every photographic team are two professional photographers.
All of our photographers are professionals with many years of experience
and an innate creative sense. Having two photographers allows us to capture
different perspectives of the same moment in time. For example, one photographer
may take the traditional photo of the bride being escorted down the aisle
while the other had the opportunity to witness and record on film the
last tender moments the Bride shares with her dad just before going down
the aisle. We often also bring an assistant to help carry equipmant and
load film and Patricia, our creative director, attends as many weddings
as possible to assist in the creative process and coordination of photograhy
sessions.
Comprehensive
Wedding Coverage
We include up to ten hours of coverage on the day of your wedding. Our
teams of photographers only do one function in a day. Therefore, they
arrive fresh and ready to go at the appointed start time and focused only
on you. We typically start our day with you wherever the Bride is getting
ready with her family and bridesmaids, usually at least one and one half
hours before the ceremony time. This allows us to capture photojournalistically
all the frenzy of getting ready, as well as some elegant and beautiful
portraiture of the bride's family and bridesmaids. We also do not limit
the amount of film we use -and we carry plenty! This includes not only
color film, but also B&W and B&W Infrared films. The number of
photographs taken varies depending on factors such as size of families,
size of bridal party, length of time for formals and number of guests
attending the reception. Wedding photographs may run from 400 to 500 to
as many as 1,000 or more.
Preview
Prints or "Proofs"
These beautiful prints are yours to keep except for the ones that you
choose for Albums or extras. The reason for this is because of the special
work done to photographs, the proofs are often marked up or used for reference.
Your proofs are ready for you to take home approximately 3-4 weeks after
your wedding day.
Inclement
Weather Guarantee
If you had your heart set on beautiful location portraiture on your wedding
day and the weather doesn't cooperate, if you wish, we will schedule a
time with you and your spouse to photograph Formals at your special location
on another day. You may choose to return to the place originally planned
for your Formals or perhaps a more exotic location such as the beach at
sunset.
Use
of Special Films & Techniques
It has been popular recently to include the use of Black & White film
or Infrared film (which is also Black & White) in wedding photography.
We even include hand coloring and other creative services in your albums
if you choose. We don't charge extra for these services. Just let us know
if you have an interest .
